Christophe Bruno made his debut in 2001 with Epiphanies, one of the first Google hacks. Fascinum (2001), is based on Yahoo’s image search engine, and arranges in echelon formation the most viewed images (ranked from 1 to 10) on different national Yahoo portals. The work is a real time portrait of the issues which hold people’s attention in a particular moment, or, as the artist writes, “a panoptic vision of the topics of mankind’s fascinations”.

Bruno lives and works in Paris. He was awarded the ARCO new media prize 2007 at the Madrid Contemporary Art Fair and received an honorary mention at the Prix Ars Electronica 2003. His work has been shown worldwide, in places such as the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), MOCA Taipei, New Museum of Contemporary Art (New York), Transmediale (Berlin), ICC (Tokyo).
