Synapse
installation by Pascale Barret and Raoul Rodriguez (BE)
Synapse is the second audiovisual installation from the series "Absente(S)" by Pascale Barret.
This series is the beginning of a research process on body representation in space and time, memory and matter. Often focused on confinement, a soft violence is the basis of the relation with the visitor. The installation proposes an intimate relation with the body through the videoprojection integrated in the physical space. The screen becomes the contact zone querying our communication behaviors. The scientific definition of the synapse is the starting point of the interactive process.
