In 2012, iMAL, Center for Digital Cultures and Technology, will open the first Brussels-based creative FabLab. A Fab Lab (fabrication laboratory) is a small-scale workshop offering digital fabrication.

Luis Miguel Girao is experimenting some new works mixing telematic performances, collaborative cyberspace and 3D printing.

PATMAP is an augmented sculpture customized in real time by the audience who may choose colors and patterns for each face of the sculpture and create unique sequences of animation.

Inauguration of the first Brussels-based creative digital Fabrication Laboratory during the Design September Open Doors.

Julien Maire, French new media artist, has settled his workshop space in FabLab.iMAL for a year. He will have some time to share his experience with other members of the FabLab.

This openLAB is the first masterclass on Digital Fabrication at iMAL. With an emphasis on forms generated by code, it will end with an exhibition of the works produced by the participants.

This 31st March 2017, Le Pass (Scientific Adventure Park, Frameries) is opening its WOW ZONE, a new space dedicated to digital culture. Five interactive artworks have been selected following a call for projects, to be exhibited for the next five years in the WOW ZONE.

Among these five pieces, two have been through a residency at iMAL....
