Parametric design

Activities

2018

Join us for an inspiring summer under the digital sun and discover how to write code, to connect your projects to sensors and physical outputs, to build 3D models and print them, and much much more!

2017

Following up to our introduction to 3D modeling in February/March, we organise a more advanced workshop on Blender for 3D printing. During these two Saturday afternoons we will be exploring tools and techniques for parametric and generative design.

2017

From March 6 until March 24 2017 Marcio Ambrisio is in residency at iMAL, where he will work together with Yacine Sebti on his interactive installation 'MOVIOLA'.

2016

Blender is a powerful, free and open source 3D modelling software, used for animation, video games, data visualisation or designing objects for digital fabrication. Join us during these two afternoons, and let's discover the basics and possibilities of Blender!

2012

This openLAB is the first masterclass on Digital Fabrication at iMAL. With an emphasis on forms generated by code, it will end with an exhibition of the works produced by the participants.

2012

with projects by Aernoudt Jacobs, Duncan Speakman, Elise Elsacker and Yannick Bontinckx.

2012

Smart architecture is the future. This is what demonstrate Elise Elsacker and Yannick Bontinckx with their Kinetic Pavilion, a structure that can react to wheater conditions, human movements, social media and certainly much more.

News

This 31st March 2017, Le Pass (Scientific Adventure Park, Frameries) is opening its WOW ZONE, a new space dedicated to digital culture. Five interactive artworks have been selected following a call for projects, to be exhibited for the next five years in the WOW ZONE.

Among these five pieces, two have been through a residency at iMAL....
