Workshop: Introduction to 3D modeling

Blender for Digital Fabrication

You have a project you want to materialise, but don't know how to use 3D modeling tools? You are a FabLab member who wishes to use the full potential of 3d printing by creating her/his own objects? Join us for an introduction to Blender, during two evenings open to anyone!

Blender est un logiciel de modélisation 3D gratuit et open source, utilisé entre autre dans l’animation et le jeu vidéo. Complet et puissant, il offre tous les outils nécessaires à la création de pièces destinée à la fabrication numérique (impression 3D, …). Durant ces deux cours, vous aurez l’occasion de vous familiariser avec l’interface de Blender, le déplacement dans la vue 3D, le travail à échelle réelle, la modélisation, les modificateurs et l'exportation pour l'impression 3D.

Votre formateur

Gaël Collaro est un artiste polyvalent plongé tout jeune dans le milieu artistique. Diplômé des Beaux-arts de Bruxelles (peinture), il débuta sa vie professionnelle en tant que graphiste 2D-3D, puis chef de production dans la firme Asgard SPRL à Bruxelles. Il travailla parallèlement comme sculpteur et graphiste 3D au théâtre de la Monnaie à Bruxelles. Passionné par son métier, il s'est établi comme indépendant il y a 2 ans. Il s'est spécialisé dans l'infographie, les animations vidéos et les impressions 3D, sa pratique de la peinture et de la sculpture étant d'un grand atout.
