HijacK propose artistic interventions based on hijacking technologies.

In the context of our society overflowed with media and technologies, new creative acts are appearing and moving torwards the reappropriation and modification of established forms.
This evening is at the junction between several emerging trends, questionning the media-objects and their usage, mixing circuit-bending, noise, post-electro-acoustic experimentations and glitchcore. From this processes of mash up and information manipulation, new creation forms arise, freer, more chaotic and vivid, more personal. They tend to get rid of imposed langage and meaning as defined by industrial techno-objects so to explore new audiovisual expressions
HijacK is an event produced by the collective projectsinge and iMAL.
projectsinge (fr/be) is a collective of artists, a meeting platform working between installation, mixed media, net art, performance and electronic reappropriation.
iMAL, Center for Digital Cultures and Technology (Bruxelles) is a space for artistic production, research and experimentation between arts, sciences, technologies and innovative industries.

HijacK rassemble des performances et des dispositifs audio_visuels basés sur le détournement de la technologie.

En interaction avec les environnements de surabondance de médias et de technologies, de ‘nouveaux’ actes de création émergent et s’orientent vers le détournement et la modification de formes établies. A la croisée de plusieurs courants émergeants, cette soirée propose un questionnement sur l'objet-media et son utilisation, mêlant dans un maelström, circuit-bending, noise, expérimentations post-électro-acoustiques et glitchcore. De ces démarches, faites de malaxages et de manipulations d'informations, surgissent alors des formes de création plus libres, plus chaotiques, plus vivantes et plus personnelles tendant à s'écarter d’une signification et d’un langage imposé par les objets technologiques manufacturés pour explorer une nouvelle expression audio_visuelle.
HijacK est un événement proposé par le collectif projectsinge et iMAL.
projectsinge (fr/be) est une plateforme de rencontre, un groupe de création, qui évolue entre installation multimédia, net art, performance et détournement électronique.
