The workshop is divided in 2 parts: the Max environment (3 days given by Martin Robinson) and the video tools (2 days by hc gilje).

days 1-3:
- introduction to the MAX environment: framework, MSP, graphics/Quicktime, interactivity,...
- MAX with MIDI, sensors (e.g. i-cube), interactive installations,...
- video in, audio in,...

days 4-5:
- live video tools : video analysis, live video synthesis and/or control

Participants should have a good understanding of digital media and of standard video and audio editing softwares (e.g. Photoshop, Premiere / Final Cut,...) in the MacOS environment.
Visual or audio artists who want to explore interactive installations and performances with computer based realtime audio and video.
