About the authors

Tom Heene is a video artist developing his own multidisciplinary art projects. In dance, he realised videos for and with Thierry Smits and he collaborated on dance-video performances with David Hernandez and Pé Vermeersch. En 2004, he is one of the authors of « Popsongs », a dance solo by Mélanie Munt : he designed the idea of a living light in collaboration with Yacine Sebti. Tom is also a founding member of « RGB~Toysband », a collective of performers using electronic toys as sound instruments to play in public spaces.
For film production, Tom is also a movie assistant-director and production manager: he worked on films made by
Alain Berliner, Olivier Smolders, José Besprosvany, Frédéric Fonteyne, Philippe Falardeau, Jürgen Leth & Lars Von Trier.

Yacine Sebti is a software artist creating interactive installations since 2003. In 2005, he received the Prix du Public at Mediatine for
« Meet Somebody » and he was nominated at VIPER 2006 (Basle, 16-22/3/06) for his installation «Jump!». Yacine Sebti is also collaborating to various multidisciplinary projects: dance (« Popsongs » with Mélanie Munt, « La mangeuse de laurier » with Pascal Baes), theater (« Tout Vu » for Transquinquenal), music performances («larson racket», « atlaal almaadi »).
Most projects by Tom and Yacine are produced or co-produced by iMAL.

Charo Calvo Cantero studied Physics, Canto and Solfa, Contemporary Dance and Dramatic Art in Madrid and Brussels. In the 80's, she was a dancer in Brussels (e.g. for Wim Vandekeybus). She then studied electronic music at Antwerpen Conservatoire and electoacoustic composition at Mons with Annette Vande Gorne. Charo realised the Sound Design and Music for many theater and dance projects, for films and dance videos. She worked on projects by Jan Fabre, Wim Vandekeybus, Peter Kruger, Peter Brossens, Iztok Kovac, François Deppe, Thierry de Mey, Fernando Martin... Her acousmatic compositions are played in festivals in Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Canada and United Kingdom.
