Anouk Chambaz, Flavio Michele & Louisa Teichmann

—

iMAL is pleased to welcome Anouk Chambaz, Flavio Michele and Louisa Teichmann for one of the three residencies taking place at iMAL in the framework of 25AV - a pan-European platform for audiovisual and performing arts, initiated by five community web radios: Kiosk Radio (Brussels), Radio Raheem (Milan), Radio 80000 (Munich), Stegi Radio (Athens), and Infame Radio (Brno).

During the residency, the artists will develop their project "The Revolutionary Music Laboratory", a live audiovisual performance that will be presented along the two others in the 25AV night on October 3rd for the special event that will conclude the residencies.

The Revolutionary Music Laboratory is a science-fiction, anti-disciplinary project in which a group of long-haired alien scientists study political uprisings on Earth. A lo-fi environment of cables, hand-soldered devices, and repurposed objects engages the senses through touch, sound, light, and wind, transporting the viewer into another dimension. Chronically malfunctioning, the lab relies on its audience and their bodily electrical energy to trigger the transmission of earthly sounds, composing a score that oscillates between scientific reconstruction and poetic imagination.
