This year’s edition is an integral part of the programme of I Am Vertical (But I Would Rather Be Horizontal), taking place during its last days from September 18th to 21st.

As the exhibition, The Cookery 2025 aims to offer a space to reflect on the possibility of digital cultures that do not seek to scale at the expense of planetary boundaries, and instead embrace limits as opportunity to reclaim creativity.

Each of the four workshops will be led by an international artist, paired with an artist based in Belgium. With them, participants will experiment, learn and discuss about microbial fuel cells, energy storage, low-tech light projections and diy electronic music. After two days of exploration, the participants will get to present the outcomes of the workshops on Sunday.

To kick off The Cookery, you’re all invited on Thursday 18th, for a moment of reflection and debate, with presentations and round tables, followed by concerts/performances.

Finally, The Cookery wouldn’t be The Cookery without its creative & relaxed dinners ;)
